Vultee BT-13 Valiant

The U.S. Army Air Corps placed an order for 300 Valiants in 1939, at that time the largest order placed by the Army for basic training aircraft.  Subsequent production raised the total to over 11,000 aircraft.

All versions were retired from service as soon as World War II ended.
