Grumman E-2 Hawkeye

The Grumman E-2 was designed from the outset as an AEW/tactical control airborne command and control aircraft.  Originally known as the W2F, the first prototype first flew in 1960.

In 1962, the designation was changed to E-2A Hawkeye.  E-2s have been supplied to Israel, Japan, Egypt, Taiwan and Singapore.
