Aero L-29 Delfin

First flown in 1959, the L-29 Delfin became the standard jet trainer for all Warsaw Pact countries except for Poland which selected the TS-11 Iskra.  In production from 1962 to 1975, approximately 3,500 were built.

The Delfin was given the NATO reporting code of "Maya".
