Torpedo/Bomber: The U.S.
Navy began using the designation "T" for Torpedo aircraft in
1922. By the mid-1930s the development of more capable aircraft lead
to the development of dual role aircraft and the introduction of the
designation "TB" for Torpedo Bomber aircraft.
