Pratt & Whitney J58

The Engine Specifications

Originally designed by Pratt & Whitney to power a projected Navy aircraft, the J58 eventually powered the SR-71 Blackbird.  This engine was a turbo-ramjet, with the turbine being largely bypassed at high speed.

The J58 is also known as the JT11B.  The earliest flight I can find is on a A-12 in 1962.

Turbojet
Compressor: 9-stage axial (single spool)
Turbine: 2-stage axial
