Aircraft was incorporated in Fort Worth, Texas as Bennett
Aircraft in 1940 and changed its name to Globe Aircraft in
1941. It developed the BTC-1 8-seat twin-engined aircraft and
the GC-1 Swift. Both of these aircraft were put on the
back-burner during World War II while the company built Beech AT-10
trainers.
After the war, TEMCO took over rights to the Swift
when Globe failed in 1947. |
