The
Learjet 35 is a development of the Learjet 25 with Garrett
turbofans offering lower noise and greater fuel economy. The
first 35 flew in 1973. In 1984, the U.S. Air Force acquired 84
Learjet 35s (designated C-21A) as operational support
aircraft.
The Learjet 36 is a 35 trading two seats for
additional fuel for non-stop capability across the North Atlantic.
