          The
prototype Parrakeet was first flown in 1931 with production
beginning in 1936.  Although several engines were tried, the
A-1 was certified with the Continental
            A-40.  More powerful
engines were use in later models.
            In 1973 Rhinehart-Rose Mfg built 5 aerobatic
            versions powered by the Continental
            O-200. |
