Laird-Turner RT-14 Meteor

Designed by famed racing pilot, Roscoe Turner, the RT-14 was originally built by the Lawrence W Brown Aircraft Company.  Unhappy with the wings, Turner shipped the aircraft to the Laird Airplane Co. for new wings.

Roscoe Turner flew the RT-14 as the Ring Free Oil Meteor at the 1937 National Air Races, the Pesco Special in 1938 and Miss Champion in 1939, finishing first in 1938 and 1939 Thompson closed course race.
