Concentrating
on 2-seat aerobatic trainers and 4-seat cabin tourers, Waco
was the largest producer of non-military aircraft in the U.S. during
the late 1920s and 1930s. During World War II, Waco designed
and produced training and transport gliders.

1919: George "Buck" Weaver forms Weaver
Aircraft Co. The company is quickly known as Waco.
1923: Reorganized as Advance Aircraft Co.
1929: Renamed The Waco Aircraft Co.
1947: Production ends. |
