Martin B-26 Marauder

The Martin design for a new attack bomber in 1939 won the USAAC competition but because Martin would not commit to delivering the required quantity, the North American entry (the B-25 Mitchell) also won a contract.

Because of it's small wings and reputation as a difficult ship to fly, the B-26 was also know as the Baltimore Whore as it had "no visible means of support".
