Pratt & Whitney JT8D

The Engine Specifications
 
The JT8D is a turbofan version of the J52 turbojet.  This engine was produced to power the Boeing 727 in 1964.  Today the JT8D is used by 350 operators to power more than 4,500 aircraft.  More than 14,000 have been built.
