First
flown on 27 March 1975, the DHC-7 "Dash 7" is a 50-seat airliner with
short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities. 113 were built
by the time production ended in 1988.
The Canadian Forces used two DHC-7s as VIP
transports. The U.S. Army purchased several in the early 1990s
to be used as low-profile intelligence aircraft. |
