Piper PA-28 Cherokee

The PA-28 Cherokee was designed to replace the PA-22 TriPacer.  The prototype first flew on 14 January 1960.

The PA-28 has be constantly upgraded with more powerful engines, interiors and avionics.  Depending upon the specific model, the Cherokee has also been marketed under the names Cherokee Arrow, Cherokee Flite Liner, Cherokee Cruiser, Cherokee Challenger, Cherokee Charger, Cherokee Archer, Cherokee Pathfinder and Cherokee Warrior.  Variants that don't include the Cherokee label include Dakota, Archer and Warrior.
