Introduced
in 1953, the O-320 is effectively an O-235
with bore increased from 4.375 to 5.125 inches. The O-320 is
still in production and is one of Lycoming's most popular engines.
Lycoming also developed a six-cylinder version of the
O-320, the O-480.
