British Aerospace 125
Raytheon Hawker 800

The British Aerospace 125 is a classic design that lives on despite the fortunes of the companies that had a hand in its development.  Originally designed by de Havilland and designated the DH 125, the prototype first flew in 1962.  By that time de Havilland was part of Hawker Siddeley and the aircraft was re-designated the
HS 125.

In 1977, Hawker Siddeley in turn became part of British Aerospace.  Raytheon purchase BAe's Corporate Jets division in 1993.  Raytheon has redesignated this aircraft the Hawker 800.
