            Aerospace (BAe) was formed in 1977 as a nationalized corporation
            by the merger of  British Aircraft Corp (BAC),  Hawker Siddeley
            Aviation, Hawker Siddeley Dynamics and  Scottish
            Aviation. 
            BAe's heritage dates back to aviation pioneer A.V.
            Roe.
             In 1993, British Aerospace sold its Corporate Jets
            division to Raytheon. 
            In 1999, British Aerospace merged with Marconi
            Electronic Systems to form BAE Systems. 
            BAe is a partner of  Airbus
            Industrie.
