Clyde
            Cessna built his first aircraft in 1911.  In 1925 he formed
            Travel Air Corp with Walter Beech and Lloyd Stearman.
            In 1927 Clyde Cessna struck out on his own and
            formed the Cessna Aircraft Co. 
            Cessna specializes in light single and twin-engine
            aircraft, light to mid-sized business jets and light military
            jets.  The company has built more airplanes than anyone else in
            the world (www.cessna.com).
            1992: Cessna Aircraft is acquired by Textron.
2007:
            Cessna acquires Columbia Aircraft.
